The Sentinel Shotgun / LoopPanel Shoulder Harness was designed with help from "Trek" of MDFI and Steve Fisher of Sentinel Concepts. A simple way to carry shotgun "shell cards" that are easily accessible. The idea is to backfeed the shell cards to the Velcro Loop side saddle of the shotgun. The small footprint and location of the panels make this system extremely low profile.
While the system was designed with plainclothes LE and Special Operations personnel in mind, it works equally well for those looking to carry spare magazines in a simple and light package. The Shotgun Shoulder Harness makes reloads extremely effecient, as the user is backfeeding shells to the same location on the shotgun.
Any item that uses Hook Velcro can be mounted. Additional Small LoopPlate panels can be mounted below for more area, as pictured (sold seperately).
A great choice for range days, bumps in the night, or low profile duty use. Works perfectly fine in conjunction with body armor.
The strength of The Sentinel Shoulder Harness System is that each component can be broken down completely to change components. If the user finds his or herself changing loadouts often, the Buckle Upgrade can make changing configurations a matter of seconds by clicking 4 buckles. The Buckle Upgrade isn't required to change out Carrier pieces however; the screws can be removed and the new Carrier can be mounted directly to the existing harness. This drastically cuts the cost of buying a whole new system by allowing the same harness to fill many roles and multiple weapon systems.
Shotgun Shell Cards are NOT included!
Proper adjustment of the Sentinel is the key to comfort and performance.
Each Harness has enough material for all body types. It is recommended to adjust the Carriers high up and near the armpit. Allow enough adjustment to loosen and tighten the harness. If extra material exists - it can be cut away and the end lightly burned with a lighter to prevent fraying. Or the extra webbing can be threaded back through the Slider to better lock the Slider in place. Once a desired position is found, it is strongly recommended to Loctite the hardware.
*Please note* - Some 2 Point Slings may interfere with certain variants when worn Overtly (no cover garment worn). This isn't enough to impede the use of the long-gun; the carrier will simply lift up from the body some. Always put the sling over the harness when running a long-gun.
