Designed, tested, and refined into the ultimate concealment holster. The advantages of Appendix Carry are numerous, so by eliminating the bulk and discomfort of Appendix carry - the SPEAR opens the door to many new users who would otherwise not carry in the Appendix position.

By using a "reverse taco fold" the SPEAR-ALE has allowed a Weapon Light to be comfortably added by keeping smooth, uninterrupted material lines sitting against the inner thigh - the most tender area when carrying Appendix. This design has also kept the overall package extremely minimalist. The SPEAR-ALE bridges two of the most important advancements in concealed carry - Weapon Lights and the Appendix Position.

The Special Purpose Equipment - Appendix Rig (SPEAR) was built to be the first Modular Appendix holster. Appendix carry is a very individual preference, so a variety of attachment options allow the user to adapt his or her Appendix SPEAR to their body type / preferred style of carry.

The heart of the SPEAR is the Inward Cant loop system. This forces the grip of the pistol into the body. Whereas most purpose-built Appendix holsters mold shapes and "wedges" into the holster body, the same effect can be achieved without the extra bulk. When seated or crouched over, the attachments will close the gap between the holster body- allowing a comfortable, minimalist feel. The Inward Cant System has been finely tuned for the perfect amount of "grip tuck" and comfort - and need to be tried to truly appreciate the benefit. Either Inward Cant Polymer Overhooks or Soft Loops mounted to Inward Cant Polymer Struts can be chosen. The Overhooks are faster to take the holster on / off, but the Soft Loops provide more security.

Each SPEAR starts with the main "shell". Each shell can be swapped, allowing the user to swap shells for different pistols without needing to repurchase their preferred belt attachments. This can save users quite a lot of money, particularly those who carry "seasonal" pistols.

The base shell is just slightly larger than the body of the pistol, allowing the holster to feel almost identical to a naked pistol tucked in the pants. When seated - the most uncomfortable position when carrying Appendix - there is under 0.5" of total material added to the profile of the pistol.

By outfitting the shell with the many different available belt attachments, it's just a matter of creating your ideal carry method. The SPEAR is able to mimic just about any AIWB holster on the market through these attachments. The Package starts with the best Appendix option - one of the two Inward Cant System attachments, with additional attachments available seperately. Although two attachments are included, only one is necessary. Running a single attachent allows more "play" when on the belt, whereas using both attachments creates a more solid platform. Some prefer the "play" of a single attachment, so it is recommended to remove one of the attachments to test for yourself.

The Shell has multiple cut options. The Low Profile Ambi Cut leaves almost no material above the waist line, but leaves the pistol touching the body. The Reduced covers just above the slide stop on most pistols and allows an index point when reholstering. The Reduced RMR is identical, but notched for a reflex sight. The Full covers the entire slide.

The SPEAR can be implemented into certain items such as the Haley Strategic Chest Rig holster pocket by adding Adhesive Hook and Loop (velcro) to keep it in place, or can be mounted directly to an RCS Pocket Shield via screws.

The optional Wing System allows the load to be spread out and works great when converting the holster from Appendix to Strong Side IWB carry. Any combination of Wings and Attachments can be used. Adapt to your situation by turning the SPEAR into a convenient quick detach single attachment point holster or turn it into a more comfortable version of an IWB Pancake Holster with dual offset belt attachments... the choices are nearly limitless.

The Grip Tuck Foam (sold seperately) can be added to provide even more "grip tuck" and potential comfort, though it isn't necessary for most users.
